Mitrex and Archetype have entered into a new strategic partnership in which Mitrex, a growing manufacturer of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products, will be exclusively represented in the Western United States by manufacturer representation and project consulting firm Architype.
Mitrex is headquartered in Toronto and will soon open a new manufacturing facility in the United States. The company is an advanced developer and manufacturer of solar energy materials, including standard, colored and patterned BIPV modules and integrated PV materials such as solar facades, railings and windows.
“Due to our mission to become the leading supplier of BIPV products that transform conventional building surfaces into energy-producing, dynamic facades and architectural elements, we are looking for a valued partner to represent our brand in the Western United States,” says Mitrex CEO Danial Hadizadeh.
“Architype’s reputation as a highly technical customer-focused team backed by architectural, engineering and construction expertise,” continues Hadizadeh, “gives us a wider reach to regional architects, contractors, developers and building owners looking for support and guidance on their building technologies, energy savings and investments to achieve their design vision.”
“I founded Architype in 1991 with the idea that I would not only represent the largest or most prestigious manufacturers, but instead introduce our customers to critical design thinking, advanced manufacturing capabilities and state-of-the-art developments in this field,” says Jean-Guy Poitras, CEO of Architype. “All our brands already reflect this, and now with the representation of Mitrex we are opening up a whole new world of possibilities in the West.”
