Luxembourg has launched its second tender for C&I solar projects ranging in size from 30 kW to 5 MW. It offers discounts of up to €745 ($835) per installed kilowatt and up to 55% of the total cost of purchasing and installing the systems.
The offer is open to projects with power ranging from 30 kW to 5 MW. The government offers discounts of up to 745 euros per installed kilowatt and up to 55% of the total costs of purchasing and installing the systems.
“Approved costs do not include taxes or other deductions,” the government said.
The list of allowable costs includes solar modules, inverters, junction boxes, cables and installation structures. It also covers design and development costs, connection costs, transformer and earthworks, and a battery with a maximum capacity of 1 kWh per 1 kW of the plant.
In the first such tender, which was concluded in October 2022, the Luxembourg authorities awarded 46.4 MW of solar capacity and granted 16.1 million euros in rebates. The discounts ranged from 530 to 810 euros per installed kilowatt.
According to the International Renewable Energy Agency, Luxembourg had approximately 319 MW of installed solar power capacity at the end of 2022 and approximately 42 MW of new solar energy last year.
