Guatemala’s latest energy auction has gathered 48 bidders for 235 MW of capacity. The auction is oversubscribed, and more than 1 GW of project proposals have been submitted. The national regulatory authority will announce the final results on August 2.
The Comision Nacional de Energia Electrica (CNEE), Guatemala’s energy regulator, said this week it had received 48 project proposals in an energy auction of more than 1 GW that it launched in August 2022.
