CPX, a unit of Esdec Solar in the Netherlands, has developed a new mounting system with a long side mounting system for large modules. The manufacturer claims that the new design reduces the number of required assembly steps.

Roof installations with up to 30,000 or more panels need project-focused installation system suppliers, according to CPX.

“The project business is very different from distribution and residential roofing,” said Harm Haarlink, CEO of CPX. “It has a different workflow, it requires logistics, coordination skills and a service organization built for projects.”

The manufacturer claims that its new Wave mounting system requires fewer assembly steps. It also has a built-in fastening and locking mechanism, eliminating the need for installers to use external tools.

“The long side fastening system is suitable for the large modules now coming to the market, with variations optimized for both east-west and south-facing sites,” the company spokesperson said. pv magazine.

The system is said to support large panel fields with a size of 40 mx 40 m or 1,600 m2. It is also suitable for module widths of up to 1,150 mm and roof pitches of 2,300 mm to 2,460 mm. It is compatible with a variety of roofing materials and membranes, including concrete, bitumen, ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO).

CPX offers a 20-year warranty for the new product.

Esdec Solar Group employs 400 people worldwide, with annual revenue of $700 million and an installed capacity of 7.5 GW, covering residential and C&I rooftops. It has several fastening system brands in the US and Europe.
