In the second interview of the series organized at the Intersolar 2023 event pv magazine spoke with Karen Tang, European Director of OPIS, a Singaporean market research firm, about current price trends in the industry. He said solar panels may soon be available for an average of $0.185/W, but he also revealed that deals below $0.15 are now becoming more common. In addition, Tang said prices may continue to fall in the future, and the outcome is difficult to determine. Much depends on the actual production capacity coming online, which may not match the huge number of recent announcements by module producers.
