Italy’s 3Sun, a unit of Enel Green Power, has developed new monofacial PV modules based on n-type heterojunction (HJT) G12 solar cells. The powers of the M40 series intended for ceiling use vary from 440 W to 480 W and the efficiency is up to 25%.

“The modules, which are scheduled to enter the market in 2024, are based on 3SUN CORE-H, a proven heterojunction technology (HJT) developed entirely by 3SUN and are therefore 100% European,” the company said in a statement.

According to 3Sun, 3SUN CORE-H technology combines crystalline silicon with amorphous silicon layers and ensures superior efficiency, performance and reliability compared to other products on the market, at utility scale and in a distributed manufacturing facility.
