Shoals Technologies has filed a patent infringement complaint against Hikam America and Voltage, LLC with the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
Shoals Technologies Group, a US supplier of solar components, has taken legal action by filing a complaint with the ITC regarding alleged patent infringements. The complaint is against Hikam America, based in Chula Vista, California, and Voltage, LLC, headquartered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The complaint also applies to their foreign businessmen.
Shoals components are made in the USA”Large wire assembly” brand. Its push connectors and wire harnesses are installed above ground, eliminating the need for extensive and expensive wire trenching.
Shoals has asked the ITC to investigate violations under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 to prevent the products from being imported into the United States.he claimed the offending parts. The company also filed complaints against the Hikam plaintiffs in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and against the Voltage defendants in the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina for the same alleged violations.
