The Indian solar energy manufacturer Waaree has ordered a 10 GW efficient module automation production line from Jinchen. The agreement was signed at the SNEC PV Power Expo 2023 fair in Shanghai.

Jinchen, which has operated for Waaree since 2017, has previously supplied 10 GW of production capacity to Waaree. This latest contract is Jinchen’s largest overseas contract.

Waaree – India’s largest solar module manufacturer with an annual production capacity of 12 GW – exports its products to more than 20 countries. Cooperation with Jinchen brings Waare closer to the goal of reaching 20 GW production capacity.

India’s Central Electricity Authority (CEA) forecasts installation of 292.6 GW solar power systems by FY 2029-30. With the government’s new energy policy providing support and incentives, India’s solar industry has a promising future.
