Denmark reaches 3.2 GW of installed solar capacity

Denmark has reached 3.2 GW of cumulative installed solar capacity, with 236 MW added in the first quarter of 2023, according to the Danish Energy Agency.

The share of solar power plants built without subsidies and for own use is 1.72 GW, while the share of solar panels in accordance with the power purchase agreement is 336 MW. In addition, the projects selected in public tenders will produce 248 MW, and the solar power systems installed in accordance with the current incentive systems will produce 938 MW.
