Next Energy’s Dulight150 carport hosts bifacial solar panels with an output of 590 W and an efficiency of 21.1%. It is available in four different versions with powers ranging from 3.5 kW to 10.62 kW.
Japanese solar power system integrator Next Energy has unveiled a solar-powered carport that it claims can withstand snow loads of up to 150cm.
The Dulight150 carport hosts bifacial solar panels with a power of 590 W and an efficiency of 21.1%. It is available in four different versions with powers ranging from 3.5 kW to 10.62 kW.
The smallest model can have six solar panels and two to three vehicles. The largest version can host 18 panels and up to nine vehicles.
The manufacturer said that the higher snow load was achieved by using a structure with reinforced beams and increasing the number of columns in the front and rear from two to three. It also claimed that this architecture provides load-bearing performance for both the mounting frame and the solar panels.
The company started selling the system in Japan at the end of April.
Located in Komagane, Nagano Prefecture, Next Energy has been in Japan’s solar industry since 2003. It sells and installs residential, commercial, and industrial solar panels and distributes second-life solar panels. It also has a recycling center for solar modules.
