Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (RUVNL) has awarded 1 GW of solar power in the latest auction. The selected developers were awarded a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

India’s state energy company Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (RUVNL) has awarded 1 GW of solar power in the latest auction.

The final average price of the procurement exercise was established 2.61-2.62 INR ($0.032)/kWh.

Avaada, Mahindra Susten and Sunfree Energy (SAEL) secured 200 MW capacity each. Other winners include Blupine Energy (150 MW), Jakson (100 MW, SJVN 100 MW) and Shiva Corp. (50 MW).

The winners will implement the projects on a BOO basis. They made sure 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) from RUVNL for utilities.
