BAES Infrastructure and Black & Veatch today completed construction of two energy-grade solar projects – Crown and Sol – in central Falls County, Texas.

Commercial operations are expected to begin this month with a combined capacity of 270 MW DC.

Both projects have signed a power purchase agreement with LyondellBasell for 80% of the production.

The construction of these projects involved the installation of over 600,000 solar modules and over 650,000 man-hours, with Black & Veatch providing engineering, procurement and construction services.

“In addition to highlighting the future of BAES infrastructure in the energy transition, this project demonstrates our commitment to leveraging our deep clean energy expertise in ways that achieve our clients’ carbon reduction goals,” said Black & Veatch Chairman and CEO Mario Azar.
