China’s GLS Energy has started selling two versions of its new battery inverter with a storage capacity of 10 kWh and 20 kWh. It says that the charging and discharging current of the devices is a maximum of 80A.
“Our new product uses digital signal processor (DSP) control and an advanced control algorithm with high response speed and high reliability,” a company spokesperson said. pv magazine.
The Chinese battery and inverter manufacturer said that the new product is available in two versions with a storage capacity of 10 kWh and 20 kWh. The maximum charging and discharging current of the devices is 80 A and the battery power is 80 kWh.
It is based on a network module with a nominal input voltage of 220 V to 230 V and an efficiency of over 95%. The nominal output power of the inverter module is 5,000 VA, peak power 10,000 VA, nominal output voltage 230 V and efficiency over 92%.
The maximum PV input voltage of the system is 145 V and the PV operating voltage range is 60 V to 145 V. The maximum power point tracking voltage (MPPT) is 60 V to 115 V.
The new product uses forced air cooling for heat removal and also features short-circuit protection, over- and under-voltage protection, overload protection and back-feed protection.
“The battery inverter has two output modes, grid bypass and inverter output, and operates as an uninterruptible power supply,” the spokesperson said. “There are four charging modes to choose from: solar only, grid priority, solar priority and hybrid charging.”
