Germany’s grid authority has reported that the country added 874 MW of solar power in January and 746 MW in February.
Germany’s Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) has reported that 746 MW of new solar capacity was installed in February. This is 422 MW in February 2022 and 874 MW in January.
In the first two months of this year, the newly installed solar power capacity was 1.62 GW, which is about 840 MW in the corresponding period a year earlier. By the end of February, the country’s cumulative installed solar power had reached 69.06 GW.
The Bundesnetzagentur reports that about 34.9 MW of the plants commissioned in January operate outside the incentive schemes under Germany’s Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). It also says so roof systems correspond about Of monthly new capacity additions, 634.8 MW.
